A good Police cover band would be a thing to behold. Sting’s voice, Stewart’s percussion/rhythms and Andy’s guitar…? Impossible to duplicate – Very hard to even imitate well. This would really be something to experience!

My husband and I had our first date on March 6 and he’s a HUGE Police fan, so this would be a great gift to surprise him with. I remember walking through the courtyard at MHCC back in the earliest of the 1980s and hearing The Police on the college radio station. They had such a fresh new sound and such intelligent lyrics. It was an exciting time to be young and hear a new type of music with new messages of hope and frustration.

I remember walking through the common area of Mt. Hood Community College in the earliest of 1980s and hearing this new music playing over the college radio station. (This was before KMHD became an NPR property.) The band was called The Police and its sound was unlike anything else at the time.

The past year and a half have been filled with death, sorrow, and fear. It would be great to take my new (and wonderful) Police loving husband to this. Thanks for making it available to whoever wins.
