Portland’s most sinful storytelling show returns from the dead this October 29th with our own twist on Halloween campfire stories: 7 Deadly Sins: Haunted.
Join us Saturday, October 29th at the Mission Theater for an evening of true tales of ghosts, witches, haunted houses, monsters, evil clowns, and other things that go bump in the night as five renowned storytellers, writers, comics, musicians, and other artists tell true tales of being haunted by the dead.
With live stories told by country western raconteur Nikole Potulsky, producer and comic Carlos Kareem Windham, professional witch Jenna Bowers, J Names improv-er Jenn Hunter Tindle, and writer-slash-Slug Queen Constance Van Flandern, and music by Megan Diana and her band.
Best of all, all proceeds for this show will go to support to help the nonprofit Our School and their mission to provide support and resources to LGBTQ+ kids and their families in those states where LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist learning spaces and resources for students, educators, and parents aren’t viable.
Plus live music, games, pizza, and enough McMenamins adult beverages to make you go out and make your own haunting story of sin.
Looks like this aught to be a fun time!
This sounds different and interesting 🤔
I once volunteered at a hospital as a teen and saw something frightening and unexplainable. I like to think it’s a hallucination, but am open to the idea that there are ghosts. I would love to attend something like this.
As a literary lover, I’ve wanted to go to a storytelling event for a long time now. I also think my partner would enjoy this particular kind of storytelling event since it’s spooky stories.
I’m in dire need of some spooky fun. Would love to go!
Using ones ears and not eyes to be immersed into a scary story telling would be magical. Happy Halloween 🎃
This sounds like a spooky time!! We’d love some to hear others haunted howls for our peculiar pleasures….storytelling of sin is our favorite of frights!!
Lust in the Labyrinth, with a Gluttony for Ghouls, creating a Sacrificial Spellbound Sloth, Gorging our Greed, with our Wicked Wrath, we seek Evildoers in Envy, while our Phantom Pride Possesses all….
My guy loves all things haunted and scary, and we both LOVE listening to storytellers. This would be a great date night!
Yes, please……
Looks like fun!
I’ve been waiting a lifetime for a paranormal experience. I’m sure the spirits will be inspired by your talented artists and I’ll get one at the show!
I would love to take my daughter.
I would love to go! Love good stories!
I would love to attend this at The Mission because I’m kinda broke but if I won tickets I could come and enjoy my birthday week the best way-getting scared with ghost stories!!
I love ghost stories. Oh, please let me win –
This sounds amazing!
This looks great! It definitely sounds like spending my friends and I would like to check out.
It’s so nice to be able to get away from the scary world and immerse yourself in true scary Halloween-esk stories, especially when all the proceeds go to an incredibly important cause. Thank you for putting this event on!
Storytelling meets Halloween, count me in!
My girl and I are visiting Portland for the first time. We are from New York City. This sounds like a fun memorable experience
October is my favorite month by far, and this has potential to improve it!
