Wicked Craft: Bazaar and Craft Fairs are a seasonal market series that focuses on supporting women-owned businesses and artists, and those who affirm women in the arts. It is operated by Rae Loft at the Bakery Building and inspired by the earthy majestic craft of older times and our divine strength and creativity. We are celebrating women & womxn from all walks of life. Our low cost booth options provide an accessible and affordable market access opportunity to artists in an inviting indoor space.
Food, full bar, goddess themed drinks, non alcoholic beverages, & music are offered by the venue. This event is family friendly, with a little bit of witchy magic.
As the height of summer begins to soften and the golden light lingers just a little less in the evenings, Lammas arrives quietly on the wheel of the year. It is the first whisper of harvest—a moment when the earth, once bursting with growth, begins to offer something back.
In ancient times, people would walk through fields of tall wheat swaying in the warm breeze, knowing that the season was shifting. The grain, once green and full of promise, had ripened into something nourishing. It was time to gather, to bake, to give thanks. The first loaf of bread—made from that very grain—became a symbol of the cycle itself: something planted, tended, and transformed.
Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, carries the spirit of both celebration and reflection. It honors not just the abundance of the land, but the work, patience, and care that brought it to life. It reminds us that every harvest—whether from a field, a project, or a personal journey—comes from seeds we once planted, often long ago.
There’s a bittersweet beauty to this moment. Summer is still here, warm and vibrant, yet there’s a quiet knowing that change is coming. The days will slowly shorten. The energy will turn inward. But for now, Lammas invites us to pause, to savor what has come to fruition, and to express gratitude for what we have grown.
It is, at its heart, a celebration of effort becoming reward, of cycles continuing, and of the magic that happens when we nurture something from seed to harvest.
