Portland in the News: Parallel Parking Contest, WasabiFest, Naked Bike Ride & More | July 3, 2025

On Saturday, a group of neighbors competed in a parallel parking contest, with the winner taking home bragging rights and a gold Subaru trophy.

While many of us have had the Play-Doh-esque green paste that accompanies our sushi, attendees at last week’s Fresh Wasabi Festival were able to clean their sinuses with the real thing.

And speaking of spicy, a starting location has been announced for this year’s World Naked Bike Ride.
