Portland in the News: Is Portland Burning, Food Carts in Parks, Naked Bike Ride Set for Sunday & More | October 9, 2025

A new permitting program from Portland Parks & Recreation will allow food trucks and other mobile services to set up in certain city parks. 

Is Portland burning? Those of us with eyeballs can see it is not, but in any case, there’s a website for that.

And this Sunday, riders participating in the ‘Emergency Naked Bike Ride’ will protest Trump’s militarization of our city. Every one is welcome whether you strip down or not.
