Join us for an unforgettable evening as Orchestra Nova Northwest brings together powerful storytelling, dynamic compositions, and musical charm under the direction of Music Director, Steven Byess. This unique program invites both seasoned classical music enthusiasts and newcomers alike to experience a captivating blend of modern and neoclassical works, enhanced by Byess’s engaging commentary and insights.

The program opens with Anna Clyne’s Restless Oceans, a powerful work inspired by Audre Lorde’s evocative poem A Woman Speaks. This piece explores resilience and unity, and fills the hall with bold energy and immersive soundscapes.

Next, delight in Dmitri Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto No. 1, a charming neoclassical work that will feature our very own Principal Cellist, Katherine Schultz. Known for her expressive artistry, Katherine will bring a warm and spirited interpretation of this concerto, celebrating the joy and wit that Kabalevsky infuses into his music.

The evening culminates with Igor Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite. This beloved neoclassical composition pays homage to the Baroque master Giovanni Pergolesi, blending spirited melodies with Stravinsky’s modern twist—a true feast for the senses!

Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to witness the artistry of ONN’s musicians in an inspiring, intimate concert setting. Secure your tickets now and experience a journey through captivating sound and timeless elegance!
