Join Literary Arts for the Portland Book Festival, returning in a hybrid format this year, featuring five nights of virtual programming, presented by Bank of America, November 8–12, 2021, and an in-person Festival Day on Saturday, November 13, 2021, featuring a book fair, food trucks, pop-up readings, on-stage events, and more. We’re also offering virtual and in-person writing workshops at our downtown Literary Arts space.

Location: Portland Art Museum & Portland’5
The in-person Festival will feature a special appearance from Louise Erdrich, speaking remotely via live broadcast to an in-person audience. A limited number of passes including a copy of Erdrich’s new book, The Sentence, are available. Book-inclusive pass required to attend. This event will be played for the in-person audience within the Newmark Theatre only. No additional livestream or recording will be available.
Proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event date, is required to attend in person. Learn more.

I would love to attend. I went to this event when it was called Wordstock. I saw / heard John Irving, Cheryl Strayed, Diana Nyad, Jesse Eisenberg. All of it was brilliant. I also sat in on a session with some local chefs which was brilliant. I love words.
