Leach Botanical Garden is celebrating its 40th anniversary year with a variety of festive offerings! The commemoration culminates in a weekend of activities August 17-18 featuring art, music, tours and more. From 10am-3:45pm Saturday and Sunday enjoy a Botanical Art Fundraiser featuring artwork from more than 100 local artists that will be on display in the historic Manor House for visitors to enjoy. Each piece will be available for purchase for $40, and the Garden is thankful to all the artists for donating their beautiful work!

On Saturday from 12-2pm SMART Reading Book Giveaway will provide free books to children from birth to middle school age levels as well as books in Spanish. And on Sunday SoundsTruck NW will perform from 1-2pm. Curated by Adam Eccleston, the concert will highlight the captivating fusion of classical and jazz music, showcasing original compositions by Daniel Velasquez and the “Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio” by Claude Bolling.

Free admission for Garden members, $5 regular daily admission, and children 5 and under receive free admission. Their Garden for All program provides free admission to support individuals or families for which admission fees present a barrier to entry.
