Jason Cheny is a Taiwanese American stand-up comedian based in Los Angeles. Jason has toured all over Asia — including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan — as well as comedy clubs all across the US. He is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in NYC, and he has featured for Iliza Shlesinger, Ronny Chieng, and Phil Wang. Jason can be seen on LAUGHS for Fox/Hulu, and his comedy album Growing Pains debuted at #1 on iTunes. Catch him on tour in a city near you!

I love comedy. I’m pumped to check out a new comic that I’ve never heard of before
Live comedy shows are so much more enjoyable than watching from home
As a Taiwanese-American individual living in the Portland area, I would love to attend this event and support a fellow Taiwanese-American and help him feel welcome in the community. I also feel a greater sense of belonging myself when there is Asian-American representation in this part of the country, especially in fields that we have been historically underrepresented. Plus, I love comedy shows!

I have never been to Aladdin Theater before and would love this to be my first show! I grew up thinking I hated comedians, but it turns out, I just needed to find more comedians like Ronny Chieng, Ali Wong, and Jason Cheny who I identified and shared similar traumas with!
My cousins that live in Australia are seeing him and it’s such a coincidence he’s coming to Portland! Need to prove to him that Portland knows how to laugh so other large comedians make their way here!
