It ranks among the epic stories in rock festival history… In the summer of 1973, more than 600,000 people descended on Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway for a record-decimating, once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and The Band. From the Dead’s two-hour long soundcheck-turned-jam-sesh to the miles of gridlock surrounding the venue to the epic group encore, it’s no wonder The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen is regarded as legend.

Join us as we celebrate this legendary concert from the golden age of jam bands with performances from Garcia Birthday Band (Grateful Dead tribute), One Way Out (Allman Brothers tribute) and Chest Fever (The Band tribute) featuring members of The Next Waltz.

SCHEDULE

  • 5-5:45pm * Chest Fever
  • 6-7:15pm * One Way Out
  • 7:30-9pm * Garcia Birthday Band
  • 9:05-9:30pm * Group encore jam

One Way Out
One Way Out is a Portland, OR based 8-member band, committed solely to paying musical tribute to the Allman Brothers Band and their related side projects, including the solo and session efforts of brothers Duane and Gregg. One Way Out stays true to the great studio and live performances of the Allman Brothers, capturing that high level of interplay and spirited improvisation that made them famous and arguably the greatest live band of their time. One Way Out is available for festival, theater, and venue performances. The band is currently looking for top flight professional management, and ready to travel for the right performance opportunities.
