Reckless Daughter – Joni Mitchell Tribute
Reckless Daughter began a few years ago, when Joshua Carson had the idea to create a Tribute band, paying honor and homage to one of the most creative, innovative, and magical musical artists of the 20th Century, Joni Mitchell. Talented and dedicated musicians were assembled, and the band was ready to play in early 2020…just in time for COVID. Now, after playing several venues in 2022 and 2023, Reckless Daughter (RD) has emerged from the pandemic, and love to share the beauty and depth of Joni’s music. They take their name from the title of one of her most inventive albums, “Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter.” RD’s repertoire encompasses songs ranging from Joni’s “Folk” phase to her “Jazz/Rock” era, and beyond. They perform both her hits and well-known songs, as well as deep cuts from her albums. In this way, RD’s concerts present a full spectrum of her creative genius, and the excitement of a live “Joni” experience. All calling Portland their home, Reckless Daughter is: Laura Cunard-Vocals and Keyboards Michele Van Kleef-Vocals and ‘Joni Guitar’ JD Clark-Electric Lead Guitar Jim McMartin-Electric Bass Joshua Carson-Drums and Percussion.

I loved listening to Neil Diamond on my cassette player while rehabbing from knee surgery back in the 70’s. He got me going and it was fun!

-We would love to see them again! It has been 4 years since we saw them last and I still remember every song they played. My favorite was ” Play Me “. He sings it so sultry and its an unforgettable tune.
My dad’s visiting from Ireland for the weekend and we have nothing in common!!! He came down last year for 3 days and I totally botched it so scrambling 😂 he raised me and my sisters in Boston so BAH BAH BAHHHH
