Tickets are on sale now for Portland’s first exclusively vegan, all-inclusive, walk-around food and drink festival experience, taking place at Castaway Portland on Sunday, September 22, 2024. The inaugural event will benefit food equity organizations Growing Gardens and Urban Gleaners.
The chef-driven festival puts the spotlight on twenty of Portland’s most beloved vegan restaurants and the individuals who have helped place Portland on the map within the national vegan food landscape. Working in teams of two, restaurants will showcase seasonal produce, vegan-friendly purveyors, and innovative animal-free alternatives in collaborative fusion and mashup dishes. The unparalleled lineup even includes Mama Dut Foods and The Sudra, who have both closed their restaurants, but are making a special comeback for Circle V Portland. Over a dozen distinctly Oregon beverage producers will be in attendance too, pouring beer, cider, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic drinks – all vegan, of course.

I have been vegan for 14 years and this would be the best way to celebrate vegan life!!!
I always regretted having arrived in Portland too late to dine at Mama Dut’s. I have heard so many amazing things about her and always wished I could have eaten there at least once! So that is one of my main reasons for wanting to attend this! And even though I am familiar with most of the others, I absolutely love their offerings and it would be like heaven to be in a room with these wonderful chefs and artists all in one place! If I am chosen as the winner, I will bring the person in Portland I know who will enjoy this as much if not more than I do! And she will blow up her IG and FB reporting on it. Also I hope you do this again next year – it sounds so fun!

Oh my gosh! I want to attend because eating vegan food and networking with amazing vegans is my happy place. This sounds like a dream event with craft cocktails and ways to support compassionate living. Plus… the weather is starting to turn and we can all bundle up in cute fall gear while eating vegan nibbles and drinking delicious drinks. I hope i win!!
