Looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours in Portland this summer? Join SOLVE for free, fun volunteer cleanups all across the city and help make a visible impact in the city you call home.
SOLVE offers volunteer opportunities in every quadrant of Portland, from local parks and neighborhoods to riverbanks and natural areas, making it easy to find a project close to home and make a difference in your community. Whether you’re passionate about cleaner parks, healthier waterways, or more welcoming neighborhoods, there’s a place for you to jump in.
This season, volunteers can join recurring Detrash Portland cleanups, which bring community members together to care for downtown Portland, or participate in Pick It Up, Portland!, a citywide cleanup series taking place August 6 at Cathedral Park, Holladay Park, Sellwood Riverfront Park, Downtown Portland, and Southeast Portland. Whether you’re looking for a one-time volunteer outing or a deeper commitment, there are many ways to get involved:
- Join a cleanup event in your neighborhood
- Volunteer regularly through recurring programs like Detrash Portland
- Lead your own volunteer project with SOLVE’s planning support, tools, and supplies
Volunteering with SOLVE is about more than picking up litter. It’s about meeting neighbors, caring for shared spaces, and helping keep Portland green, welcoming, and connected. Whether you join us once or become an event leader, there’s a meaningful place to get involved.
