Portland Spirit Cruises & Events invites you to party like it’s 1994 while supporting local charities. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Portland Spirit will offer two ‘Best of Portland Anniversary Cruises’ on May 9th and 23rd. Guests are invited to dust off their 90s attire and step back in time for a two-hour cruise on the Willamette River while celebrating all things Portland.

In honor of their 30th anniversary, tickets will be $30 each, all ages. All ticket proceeds will benefit two local non-profits — the Willamette Light Brigade, organizers of the annual Portland Winter Light Festival, and Weird Portland United, champions of the city’s quirky culture and spirit.

Popular local characters like The Unipiper (Brian Kidd), Una the Mermaid (Gina Ricupero), Korny the Chicken (Chad Kornack), Morris Moose (Eric Reiter), Aurelia Stardancer (Christine Lassiter) and Portland Pickles’ Dillon, will be on board for memorable photo opportunities. A special bistro menu and full bar will be available for purchase during the cruises.

The nostalgic evening will also continue to celebrate Portland by featuring local purveyors who will provide delicious samples and have products available for purchase. Vendors include:

  • Abbey Road Farm
  • Blue Star Donuts- May 23rd only
  • Creo Chocolate
  • Crux Fermentation Project
  • Dobbes Family Winery- May 9th only
  • Longbottom Coffee & Tea
  • Hip Chicks do Wine- May 23rd only
  • Hood River Distillers
  • Nico’s Ice Cream
  • Portland Pickles Baseball
  • Proud Mary Coffee- May 23rd only
  • Rogue Ales & Spirits
  • Voodoo Doughnut- May 9th only
  • Westward Whiskey
  • Willamette Light Brigade

For 30 years, Portland Spirit has been locally owned and operated in a city we love,” said General Manager Dennis Corwin. “What better way to mark this milestone than by throwing a distinctly Portland party on the river while supporting two organizations dedicated to keeping our city vibrant and, well, weird?”

Boarding begins at 5:30 pm and will cruise the Willamette River from 6-8 pm. The event ends at 8:30 pm. The event will take place on the Portland Spirit’s flagship vessel of the same name, the Portland Spirit, and departs from the Salmon Springs dock on 1010 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204.
