Feeling extra tired lately? Imagine being a salmon swimming upstream. A project is underway in Milwuakie Bay Park to create salmon ‘rest stops’ that will create slower currents allowing the fish to lay eggs more easily.
Local author Willy Vlautin’s novel ‘The Night Always Comes’ has been made into a Netflix film. The gritty Portland-based drama begins streaming August 15.
And if you’ve ever enjoyed a Spanish coffee at Huber’s, it’s time to toast James Kai Louis, Huber’s co-owner, who passed this Monday at the age of 79.
