Over 25 years ago Dave Coey (guitar, vocals) from The Renegade Saints joined forces with Bart Ferguson (vocals) from The Strangers and played their first gig as Kerosene Dream. They quickly evolved from an acoustic group to a full electric band – featuring Al Toribio (guitar), Chris Chard (bass) and Bevan Hurd (drums) – uniting intelligent songwriting and heady harmonies with the virtuosity and spontaneity of an improvisational jam band. With a style touching everything from country to folk to rock and pop, they quickly developed a faithful and devoted audience and graced the stages of Crystal Ballroom and Roseland Theater, sharing bills with String Cheese Incident, Mickey Hart and more.

Having dissolved from active playing in 2002, the band got together for occasional trio or full band shows through the next years then decided to do a big 20th anniversary show in 2017. They had such a blast at that show that they’ve continued to play these reunion shows annually since.

My brother, Tom Hughes, & friend Bobby Stucky grew up with the Bart at Jesuit High School. Bobby got me into the bands music. We HAVE to come see the band! Great music, great time, and great possible reunion.
