Who has four legs, a wet nose and a skill for sniffing out expensive fungi? The competitors of the Joriad Truffle Dog Championship, which took place earlier this month in Eugene.

Speaking of difficult to find items, researchers discovered a sewn animal hide in an Eastern Oregon cave that could be one of the oldest known pieces of sewn clothing, dating back to the Ice Age.
