What will Greater Portland look like in 2077? The answer starts with youth. Young people ages 14 to 24 are invited to a free, all-day event to dream boldly, think big and have a seat at the table to help shape the 50-year vision for Greater Portland.

Do you care about creating a positive future for your community? Do you have an interest in improving access to housing and jobs, protecting nature, expanding transportation options and uplifting arts and culture? Join other young people in the region to connect about important issues, learn how to get into a futures thinking mindset and have fun while dreaming of the future you want to see. Community service hours are available.

The event will include:

  • Live art with local artists including muralist Alex Chiu and theater performer Liz Hayden
  • Music by DJ Luvjonez
  • Screen printing station
  • Interactive activities
  • Workshops and conversations with other youth
  • Free catered breakfast, lunch and snacks

Input from Future Fest will help shape the Future Vision, which will have a lasting impact on policies, plans and programs available in the greater Portland region for generations to come. This event was planned by the Future Vision Youth Committee in partnership with Metro, Next Up and Blueprint Foundation.

Registration is required. This event is open to young people between the ages of 14 and 24 from all genders with personal, volunteer or professional connections within Clackamas, Washington, Multnomah and Clark Counties. Language interpretation assistance can be requested on the event registration form. Si quiere hablar con alguien en español, por favor contacte a Gloria Pinzon con el correo electrónico que está abajo o llame al 971-865-0559.
