Concurrent with the holiday season, Lan Su invites the community to join in its Winter Solstice festival, Dongzhi, with extended open hours on December 22nd and 23rd, from 2-7PM. Dongzhi will highlight the delectable delights of tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls) and jiaozi (dumplings), festive foods of the winter solstice. This cultural extravaganza promises an immersive experience filled with tastings, live music with traditional Chinese instruments, and the enchanting glow of community-lit lanterns after dusk. Participants will get the opportunity to taste the tangyuan and jiaozi and vote for their favorite.

Dongzhi Festival, also known as the Winter Solstice Festival, holds profound significance in Chinese culture. It symbolizes unity, togetherness, and the turning point where daylight begins to increase after the longest night of the year.
