DarSalam is Portland’s first authentic Iraqi restaurant. Our specialties include fire-grilled meats as in the Iraqi tradition, along with many exciting vegan and vegetarian dishes like our Mahshi Stuffed Onions (layers of onion stuffed with basmati rice, infused with flavors of sundried tomato and pomegranate), our Beet Salad (a beautiful, naturally fuscia-colored salad of beets, yogurt, and fresh lemon), and our Pickled Mango Salad. We are proud to offer our very own Iraqi Pilsner which you can only get here, along with wine imports as well! We create Iraqi foods with a rare fusion of authentic and contemporary, keeping traditional methods, along with current dietary needs at the forefront of everything we do. Our patrons enjoy an incredible flavor experience, while staying true to a variety of nutritional preferences.
