Portland based A-WOL Dance Collective: Aerial without Limits, is excited to announce the return of the annual performance, ART in the DARK, showcasing local aerial artists under the stars, suspended from old growth trees featuring original music composed by musician Chet Lyster.
A powerful collective of performers twist and twirl through tangles and treetops navigating the unpredictable yet always existing forces of nature. As always, this production is packed full of traditional and invented aerial apparatus, athletic and technical dance movement and acrobatics.
A-WOL’s Art in the Dark annual performance is a fantastical, illuminated, full-length, evening production set in a unique and rare outdoor theater style setting. Transforming a dirt plot into a performance spot, each show is packed with the flavor of the Northwest and a wonderful taste of the talent this area has to offer! Come see why A-WOL grabbed the attention of OPB’s “Oregon Art Beat” during the 2012 season! Last year’s show sold out entirely – get your ticket early.
All seating will be ground pod seating or picnic table reservations.
