EVERY year I see this come up but I’ve never attended. I didn’t realize that it’s at different venues all around town and would be PUMPED to finally go. I haven’t looked at the lineup but I’ll let that be a surprise for after I win 😉

“Hello In There”, don’t give me “The Sound of Silence”, or leave me “Blow’n In The Wind”, I have the “Urge For Going” to the 2026 Portland’s Folk Festival, so let me be “The Chosen One”, it’s my “Turn, Turn, Turn”!
If you don’t pick me, “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”, there are “No Regrets”. I will just hit the “Road” and walk “Across the Great Divide” (Burnside Bridge) in “Our Town” and “Puff The Magic Dragon”, however, “The Water is Wide”, so I better take a “Big Yellow Taxi” back to NW Portland…oh yeah…we don’t have those anymore. It’s a “Wild World” isn’t it?!

Because I grew up in the 80s on a healthy diet of OG folk artists like John Denver, Cat Stevens, Peter, Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Tom Paxton, Van Morrison and so many more who the set the stage for my love of today’s folk rock artists like Hollow Coves, Griffin House and Mason Jennings.
This would be my jam and a cure to my winter time blues!
