Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology (PFCAT) will screen 170+ films and animations from over 30 countries at the Oregon Museum and Science and Industry. Screenings include animation for kids, animation for adults, horror, sci-fi, comedies and more.
A full list of films and animations along with trailers and descriptions can be found at www.pdxfestofcinema.com. All screenings and events before 5pm are designed to be a good fit for all ages.
In addition to screenings of films and animations by visionary filmmakers and animators, the festival also includes dome film screenings in the Kendall Planetarium, Virtual Reality showcases, Q&A sessions with 75+ filmmakers, augmented reality demonstrations, parties, and panel discussions on topics ranging from crowdfunding and distribution to voice acting and stop-motion animation. On Sunday night August 10th, the festival will conclude with a party and award ceremony in OMSI’s Theory restaurant.
Individual screenings are $12 adults, $11 seniors, and $10 youth with $2 off for OMSI members.
