Get ready to wine a little, laugh a lot, and stroll your way through one of Portland’s most vibrant streets. The Mississippi Wine Walk is back and more grape than ever!
Thursday, August 21, from 4–8pm, the businesses along N. Mississippi Avenue will be uncorking their finest hospitality. Your ticket gets you a commemorative glass (because solo cups are for college, darling,) and a passport to explore the neighborhood’s unique boutiques, cozy nooks, and delicious hideaways—each pouring carefully selected wines and beverages that pair perfectly with summer evenings and people-watching.
Picture this: you, a glass in hand, the sun setting just right, and the faint sound of of the hustle and bustle of the ave. You’ll wander past colorful storefronts, pop into charming shops, and meet friendly locals who know their pinots from their purple teeth. Every stop is a new pour, a new vibe, and maybe even a new favorite bottle you didn’t know you needed.
Whether you’re a seasoned sommelier or just here for the “it’s wine o’clock somewhere” vibes, the Mississippi Wine Walk is your reminder that joy can be found in a glass, a stroll, and a friendly smile. One of my very favorite areas of town is Mississippi. It would be even better with a glass of wine in hand.
I’m trying to get out more and do things, meet new people. I’d really love the chance to be in the downtown area too, I don’t get to go very much.
I like wine. I like to walk. I’d like to do both at the same time.
