If you’ve ever done the ‘Time Warp’, you may have the Clinton Street Theater to thank. Portland’s 110-year-old movie house helped popularize Rocky Horror Picture Show with its midnight screenings which continue to this day.
Speaking of things from another dimension, a tiny SE Portland museum claims to have an ancient mermaid on display, in addition to other strange creatures.
And if you’ve never walked in your birthday suit under the moonlight, this Friday is your chance. Portland’s first ‘Moon Walk’ will be both a protest and a celebration of keeping Portland weird.
