Returning this year after a sold out run, Wild Goose Repertory Theater presents The Chimes. This lesser-known Dickens Christmas tale brings Victorian London to life through the eyes of Toby Veck and a host of other memorable characters. Funny, fast-paced, and family-friendly, The Chimes is an honest story of hope in dark times.

Developed during the Covid-19 pandemic, this one-man show features Portland actor Ben Tissell (BenTissell.com) playing over a dozen characters. Tissell has been described by Oregon ArtsWatch as “mesmerizing” and “electric”, while BroadwayWorld.com says, “Tissell raises it to another level.” The Chimes is a tour de force by one of Portland’s leading performers.

This year’s limited run includes only two performances. December 19th at 7pm at a historic church in NE Portland (238 NE Mason Street) and December 20th at 7:30pm at the newly refurbished LaJoie Theatre in Newberg (415 E Sheridan St).
