IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist, under the direction of the IT Department Head, provides support to staff on Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting Information Technology related problems, determining the source, and advising on appropriate action.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Serve as the first point of contact for Mackenzie staff seeking technical assistance over email, help desk portal, and occasional walk-ups
* Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and relevant questions
* Support Mackenzie staff with conference room set up and usage
* Walk internal requesters through the problem-solving process
* Help with employee cubicle moves
* Provide accurate information on IT products or services
* Record events and problems and their resolution in the helpdesk ticket system
* Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
* Collaborate with other IT staff on projects as needed
* Assist with managing the lifecycle of physical and virtual endpoints, including provisioning, imaging, software deployment, and decommissioning
* Assist with administering Mackenzie’s mobile device management solution to ensure the security and proper configuration of laptops, smartphones, and tablets

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
* Experience with Microsoft Office365 applications and Windows 11 is required
* Experience with computer hardware is required
* Experience with any help desk ticketing system is preferred but not required
* Experience with Microsoft Intune (or another MDM solution) and Azure EntraID is preferred but not required
* Experience with computer networking is preferred but not required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE:
* Two years of experience in computer support services of a technical nature in a corporate environment
OR
* Equivalent education/experience.

Salary Range: $26 to $29/hour

At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid office schedule; all staff work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
