The 8th annual Baker’s Dozen (Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest): This Oregon festival sells out annually and features 3 things Portland does best: beer, coffee, and doughnuts. Each is represented by a baker’s dozen (13) brewers, roasters, and bakers, each. Admission includes samples of everything including many of the specific coffee roasts featured in the coffee beers. The festival returns to its original venue, Culmination Brewing.
Tickets are now available for $40 with a new VIP ticket for $65 that includes early admission at 10 a.m., a larger special glass mug, and a can of Culmination coffee beer to take home).
Culmination Brewing (2117 NE Oregon St.) hosts on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A “baker’s dozen” is twelve items plus one, adding up the luckiest and most delicious set of thirteen you may ever come across.
Swifties are right to reclaim this number, not because their tortured poet holds it in such high regard, but for the fact that when you end up with thirteen pastries, you feel like you’re the one who just made another gold record.
I’d like to reclaim the number thirteen as well and can think of no better way to do it than completing the full set of coffee, beer and pastry at this fine event.
I promise to eat all the donuts, drink all the coffee and beer and try not to worry too much about doing downers and uppers together. 😎
