Just like the BACKFENCE Mainstage shows of yore, the storytellers for this show went through an intensive month-long process to explode the energy of their stories onto the stage. I moved the show to Powell’s because it was selling out the last venue! Make room for the story-loving masses!

The storytellers have lit up states all over the Portland area including Moth StorySLAMs (including some winners!), Tiniest Party, SpeakEasy Story Club, Seven Deadly Sins, Tell Tale, Gorge Storytelling, and other BACKFENCE shows.

Powell’s expanded the Pearl Room from 150 seats to 250! We bring in a proper stage, and yes — since so many people have asked — it really does feel more like a theater space. We shut down the room and turn off the lights, focusing attention directly onto the storytellers while the audience gets to relax under the cover of darkness.

Speaking of relaxing: Guilder sets up a full bar, including NA cocktails and snacks!
