The 18th Annual 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade takes place on Saturday, April 27th, stepping off at 9:30am from Eastport Plaza and traveling north on 82nd Avenue, turning west onto Yamhill St. in the Montavilla neighborhood, and finishing at SE 78th before noon. Register to be in the parade, to sponsor or to volunteer.

The Parade is presented by 82 Roses Community Enrichment Coalition (82Roses CEC), a 501c3 organization, and is financed through Grants and Sponsorships. 82nd Avenue is surrounded by the highest percentage of Asian, Black and Indigenous communities in Portland where more than 60 languages are spoken in families whose children attend SE area schools. The 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade features many representatives of this diverse community.

After the Parade, all are invited to attend the Impala Car Club’s Cruise-In from Noon to 4PM.

Starting in 2007, a small group of businesses, friends and neighbors recreated a fun, festive and welcoming parade that 18 years later presents marching bands, community groups, local office-holders, school bands, Grand Marshalls and more.

Early granters and sponsors include the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation, Marvin Smith Estate/Larry Smith, the Portland Rose Festival Foundation, St. Anthony Catholic Church, Beneficial State Bank and the Portland Rose Society. Grant applications are out for an extensive community mailing and Live-Streaming of the parade.

We live a house off 82 nd the parade goes basically past our house and we haven’t missed a parade since it started my kids and I , my siblings and their family and now my grandkids love the parade. And the events afterwards when they were at Eastport plaza. I haven’t been able to attend the after events since they moved from Eastport to the Madison high school area but many neighbors I’ve talked too said be grateful I didn’t go it’s nothing like it used to be 😩 they said hopefully it will return to the old format 🤔
