Haunted Corn Maze Actors WANTED!

We are looking for actors for our haunted corn maze on Sauvie Island in Portland, OR which begins Saturday Sept 26th, 2026 and the job will also be all Fri/Sat nights in October (haunted maze position is a total of 10 nights acting+ 1 orientation evening). The last haunted maze night is October 30 and our actors have Halloween night off (Oct 31). Our orientation evening is Friday Sept 25th, which is also required to attend. We do ask that should you come for an interview for this position you understand that attendance is required and if you cannot make nights for any reason, we must be notified in advance. No experience required, but we do ask that you come with high energy and ready to have fun! Pay depends on experience and effort/reliability! ** Skills ** – Need to be physically active for hours – Need to scare people for hours so it should be something that is fun to you – Not required, but a bonus if you are good at stage makeup, latex horror makeup, costume making, etc but only looking for haunters who are able to do makeup. We are not hiring only stage makeup artists who do not want to also work as actors.

Haunting nights are: Orientation on Friday Sept 25th. Acting nights: Sat Sept 26, Oct 2/3, Oct 9/10, Oct 16/17, Oct 23/24 & Oct 30 (Preferably available all nights). The acting positions are going to involve actual acting and we do require folks to follow the direction of our management in regards to the way scenes are executed and how we handle crowd management etc. We will have team leaders at every scene and we will have groups working together throughout the maze as mini-teams to scare people.

The drop-in hours are 9:30am to 5pm any day of the week those dates. Do not schedule an interview just come by in that timeframe when you are available. We do suggest coming earlier in the season to have a better chance at getting a position, because we do get a lot of folks coming by for interviews now that the haunted maze has gained popularity. We will hire the best folks for the positions available. Be prepared to tell us about how your skills will make you a great haunter!

We are also hiring general staff for working at our pumpkin patch for the entire month of October, so if haunting isn’t for you, OR you would like to both haunt and work daytime shifts we are hiring for that! This is a great job to do with friends and fun month of excitement at a pumpkin patch! Daytime work includes: Food service, Store, Pumpkin station, tickets, corn maze, security, janitorial and more! If you are hired, we will give you all the details for time to arrive for set-up and costumes for each night. We are offering drop-in interviews to folks who are interested in this position. Pay depends on the position and experience. Pay will start at $16/hour minimum.  If you see this ad after September 15th we still suggest you email us or stop by for an interview because many people end up missing dates or sometimes we still have openings so it’s likely you will still get a call/text back for the gig!
