Death From Above 1979 celebrates the 20th anniversary of their debut album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine in 2024 with a year-long recording project and a world tour. The album is a cult classic that mixes genres and is considered to be as fresh today as it was in 2004. The album’s name is a reference to a quote from the 2004 reboot of Battlestar Galactica.

Known for its distorted bass amps, synths, and drums, this dance-punk album was featured on video game soundtracks, late night TV shows, and was even played by Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age in 2005. Death From Above consists of drummer and vocalist Sebastien Grainger and bassist Jesse F. Keeler.
