ANIMAL FEELINGS is the musical love child of producer and pianist Oli Chang. From introspective piano pieces to sprawling indy anthems, Animal Feelings ranges from ambient soundscapes to unexpected electronic drops. His sound is inspired by nature and ranges from the neoclassical style of Nils Frahm to the soaring melodies of Sigur Ros. Through infectious vocal hooks, instrumental melodies and percussive ASMR sounds, Oli Chang’s music will ignite your inner animal feelings.
Oli has toured alongside such acts as Vampire Weekend, Empire Of The Sun, Sky Ferreira and has played with artists Tycho, Alex Cameron and Sevdaliza. His current show blends expansive modern classical soundscapes with spacious vocal melodies. Lyrically his songs play on themes around the possibilities of utopian futures where technology and biology coexist in harmony. Animal Feelings will be announcing a tour this spring where he will be collaborating with a range of Yoga, Movement and Sound Healing facilitators at events all around the USA. These events will include – but not be limited to immersive sound and movement experiences that include luminescent aquatic light projections in unexpected locations.
Oli Chang’s musical journey in the USA began with the celebrated ambient dream-pop of High Highs, a long-running collaboration with Jack Milas. Previously his electronic music project with James Brennan called Theatre Of Disco was one of Australian label Future Classic’s first signings. Chang was drawn back to dance music whilst writing the second High Highs album. During this time, he also started “LOVELESS NIGHTS” a cult, wildly diverse dance party held at Pony Boy, Brooklyn, which also served as a testing ground and incubator for ANIMAL FEELINGS. Oli Chang’s projects have been featured in the films Pitch Perfect, Sleeping with Other People, For a Good Time Call and numerous TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, Nurse Jackie and Teen Wolf.

Chris Dingman is a vibraphonist and composer with a distinctive approach to the instrument: sonically rich and expansive, bringing listeners on a journey to a beautiful, transcendent place.
Chris has worked with legendary artists Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter as well as next generation visionaries such as Ambrose Akinmusire, Linda May Han Oh, Steve Lehman, Jen Shyu, and many others. In his solo performances, he casts an enveloping atmosphere with layers of sound – soaring melodies, swirling textures, and undulating pedal tones – an immersive listening experience that many have described as transportive and deeply healing.
