When two curious children are accidentally locked in a toyshop after hours, they discover that the toys don’t stay on their shelves for long. As the clock strikes, dolls, soldiers, playing cards, and even poodles spring to life, filling the stage with music, color, and dance. Each toy has a story to tell, and together they create a lively parade of characters that will delight audiences of all ages.
The Enchanted Toyshop blends humor, imagination, and playful choreography in a way that is perfect for families. With colorful costumes, sparkling music by Rossini (arranged by Respighi), and a fast-paced series of dances, the production keeps the audience smiling from start to finish.
Presented by The Portland Ballet, The Enchanted Toyshop has become a favorite holiday event for Portland-area families. The production features dancers from The Portland Ballet’s Youth Company, offering a chance to see talented young performers shine on stage.
