When Artists Gather, a Creative Storm Begins. For 39 years, artists have gathered for Stormy Weather Arts Festival, bringing new work, new ideas, and an unmistakable creative energy.
Cannon Beach has been named one of America’s 100 Best Art Towns, and Stormy Weather has grown alongside the town’s flourishing arts scene, helping weave the festival into Cannon Beach’s identity as a destination for creativity.
During festival weekend, artists converge at galleries throughout town to unveil new work, demonstrate their craft, teach, perform, exchange ideas and connect with collectors, visitors and one another. Ideas are shared. Inspiration builds. Conversations spill from galleries into the streets. Visitors become participants. Music appears around the next corner.
When artists gather, ideas collide, inspiration spreads, and Cannon Beach becomes a Creative Storm. Experience the artists, not just the artwork. Meet working artists and discover the ideas and stories behind their work. Watch art being made, then try it yourself in a juried artist-led workshop. Creative energy moves from galleries into the streets through art, conversation, and live music.
Come for a festival; experience the creative culture that lives in Cannon Beach year-round.
