After opening night of the New York Comedy Festival and her critically acclaimed run in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, NYC-based comedian and viral sensation Maria DeCotis is bringing her one-woman comedy show EMOTIONALLY UNREASONABLE to Portland this Thursday, November 21!

EMOTIONALLY UNREASONABLE is an unforgettable hour of stand-up and musical comedy spotlighting her experience as a professional wedding officiant — while navigating her own relationships, identity, and mental health. With powerful storytelling, original music, and punchlines you never see coming, she explores her unique perspectives on marriage, power dynamics, sexism, sex robots, turning 30, and more.

About Maria: Maria DeCotis is a NYC-based comedian, actress, and writer who first went viral during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic with her hilarious videos lip-syncing Andrew Cuomo’s press briefings; she was retweeted by countless celebrities and featured in Rolling Stone, Vogue, the NY Times, and more for her original comedy videos that gave millions of viewers much-needed laughs. Most recently, she completed a critically-acclaimed run during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival starring in the dramatic one-woman play Before the Drugs Kick In as well as her own one-woman comedy show Emotionally Unreasonable. This summer, she went viral again with her powerful Subway Takes interview, hilarious Pope impression series, and Get Ready With Me satire videos.
