Davis Street Night Market – Saturday, October 31, 2-10 pm
On Halloween, NW Davis Festival Street between NW 3rd and NW 4th Avenues becomes a free street market. Local makers sell handmade goods and art alongside Asian-inspired food and drink, with cafe seating spilling out from GeekEasy Anime Cafe and the Society Hotel. DJ Ronin Roc and live performers take the stage through the afternoon and evening.
Costumes are encouraged. The costume contest starts at 6 pm, with a $100 cash prize for the winner and $50 for the runner-up.
The Halloween market is the first of a two-event pilot, with a holiday market on the same block on Saturday, December 5. Council Vice President Olivia Clark has committed $20,000 to fund ten Davis Street Night Markets in 2027.
The two holiday markets are produced by OTCA in partnership with GeekEasy Anime Cafe, which manages vendors, with artwork and promotion by Student Work, Portland State University’s student advertising agency. The Davis Street Night Markets are supported by a $3,000 Uniquely Portland grant from Prosper Portland’s Portland Events and Film Office and $1,500 from Old Town Bank Trailhead Credit Union.
