Known for his unique blend of wit and creativity, Demetri Martin has built a successful career as a stand-up comedian, writer, and director. He has released three stand-up albums and four hour-long comedy specials, including his latest Netflix special, The Overthinker. Demetri’s one-man show, If I, earned him the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival, while his show Dr. Earnest Parrot Presents Demetri Martin won the Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Martin also starred in his own Comedy Central series, Important Things with Demetri Martin, which ran for one season. His books, This Is a Book and Point Your Face at This, became New York Times Bestsellers. His most recent book, If It’s Not Funny, It’s Art, is a collection of his original drawings. Demetri’s writing has been featured in The New Yorker, Esquire, and The New York Times Magazine. His feature film debut, Dean, won the Founder’s Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival for Best Narrative American Feature Film.
Demetri has brown hair and he is allergic to peanuts.
