Pre-Concert Talk with Anthea Kreston, 30 minutes prior to start of concert.
An intimate concert with grand appeal, Double Vision features two world-class soloists and three legendary composers. With performances at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts (March 13, 2026) and Village Church (March 15, 2026), audiences will double their fun with Brahms’s beloved Concerto for Violin and Cello (“Double Concerto”), Mendelssohn’s spirited Symphony No. 4, the “Italian,” and Mozart’s overture to Cosí fan tutte.
Beaverton Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to share the stage with violinist Anthea Kreston (whose debut book, Crescendo, will release this October) and cellist Jason Duckles; two outstanding, renowned performers who are not only professional collaborators, but also married! From their years in Berlin, Germany and elsewhere in Europe, Jason, Anthea, and their two daughters, have found a home in Oregon and we are all the beneficiaries.
The concert concludes with “the jolliest piece” Mendelssohn ever wrote, the “Italian” Symphony. “Pay what you can” pricing. Children under 18 are free.
