Spring Break at the Museum kicks off March 22–28 with a full week of family-friendly activities, hands-on learning, and behind-the-scenes experiences. See full schedule of activities HERE.
Stop by the Ford Room daily for free coloring sheets, scavenger hunts, and “Sea Reads”, our Book Boat. Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy engine room tours aboard Lightship Columbia, hands-on EDU Labs, maritime games, and interactive learning carts.
Special programs include a tactile tour of the galleries, a scrimshaw-making activity, maritime bingo and games, and an EDU Talk on lightships. Visitors can also explore museum accessibility tools at the Comfort Cart.
For those interested in maritime crafts and traditions, join the Rug Hooking Club, Carving Club, or Weaving Club, or visit the Sam Johnson Woodworking Shop during Open Shop hours.
With guided tours, hands-on activities, and opportunities to explore maritime history in new ways, Spring Break is the perfect time to visit.
