Salary: $25/hr plus gas and phone stipend
Hours: 20 hours per week, days and times vary depending on event needs

We are hiring a part-time Events Field Coordinator to support our “Events Hub.” This position is primarily out in the field doing outreach, photography, capturing video content, and assisting in the planning events.
This role requires a reliable vehicle and willingness to drive independently when out in the field. Venture Portland offers a month gas stipend to help cover gas expenses.
What does a “typical” week look like? This part-time job offers flexible hours, and no two days are quite the same! This work is done in real life, out in the field, working from home, and with a very occasional need to be in the office.
As the Events Field Coordinator, your week may look like–
Monday: In the morning, virtually meet with the Events Hub team (Events Director and Events Assistant) to plan the week ahead. Meet with the whole Venture Portland team at our All Staff Meeting at noon on zoom. Work with an Events Hub spreadsheet to update different event vendors/get quotes. Prep for events around the City, and facilitate/support the creation of our first Venture Portland signature event.
Tuesday: Be out in a specific district to take photos and create video content to then be used for Venture Portland’s website, YouTube, and Instagram. Partner with the Events Assistant to plan out creative content for social, including the creation of Reels.
Wednesday: Meet with the Events Director to help creatively bring the Venture Portland signature event to life. Assist with district tours.
Thursday: Work on member outreach for “Fostober Fest” in the Foster district. Print invitations for Venture Portland’s signature event. Attend an evening meeting in a district for an upcoming event.
Friday: Drive to pick up flowers and supplies to help prepare for a BDA member mixer. While at the mixer, prep the host table, supply raffle tickets and a prize, check in with bartender or restaurant manager before guests arrive, engage with guests during event, and help to clear up after event, as needed.
Obviously, there’s a lot of exciting activity taking place each day that isn’t listed here!
