Powell’s Books is looking for a Software Engineering Manager. This is a remote position, but Oregon residency is required, and will include occasional onsite visits to Powell’s.
The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for setting the technical direction for Powell’s Books software development practices. This position leads a high-performing software development team, supporting delivery of the business strategy through outstanding planning and reporting. Engages with stakeholders to deliver market-driven software solutions. This position supervises and functions as the team lead, mentor, and architect for the software development team. The Software Engineering Manager will collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and operations team members to deliver reliable, instrumented, secure, and performant applications to our customers.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, flex time.
Compensation is $41.60 to $70 per hour, depending on experience.
