Sara Jackson-Holman, Dead Peasant, Gavin-Wahl Stephens & the New Americans
October 8 – 9pm $6

Sara Jackson-Holman is on her to very successful career, no doubt about it. With only one release under her belt on Expunged Records, the Bend, OR native has already had a song featured on ABC's hit show /Castle/. Her songs are inviting, melodic and fragile while exuding confidence. She'll get many comparisons to Adele and maybe the poppier side of Norah Jones, but more than likely she'll go slow like label mate Blind Pilot, building her audience organically while developing her already impressive songwriting and vocal abilities.

Dead Peasant has flown under the radar of the Portland scene for too long now. Their songs are engaging, dramatic and catchy. Although the indie-americana scene is crowded these days, Dead Peasant are worth more than a cursory listen.
