A fixture on the Southern CA music scene for over 15 years, Led Zepagain is the West Coast’s most popular & beloved Led Zeppelin tribute act. When Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page caught their show in 2004, those years of hard work paid off, as Jimmy was hugely impressed, requesting to meet the band, posing for pictures, and remarking, “It’s amazing how much you sound like us…You must have grown up on this because you were inside the music, and you paid attention to detail in your presentation…I can tell you guys really love the music!” Since then, the popularity of Led Zepagain has soared, with sell-out shows at California’s biggest clubs and casinos (House of Blues, The Grove, Galaxy Theater, Pechanga Casino, etc), outdoor festivals (Like 2005’s Mock Rock show in Sacramento, which drew over 7,000 people) and national and international dates such as Vegas, Detroit, Mexico City, Toronto, Ireland, and US Armed Forces shows in Germany, Bosnia & Kosovo.
In December 2007, Led Zepagain attended the historic Led Zeppelin reunion concert in London, also attending the previous day’s rehearsal and after show party! And in March 2009, Jason Bonham, son of original Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham, and drummer for Led Zeppelin’s 1988 and 2007 reunions, sat in with Led Zepagain for their encore after watching their whole show. Jason expressed how much he loved the band, promising, “Whenever I’m around and they’re playing, I would always pop in for an encore.”
A born and bred Irishman from Drogheda, Ireland, lead singer Swan Montgomery’s uncanny portrayal of Robert Plant has placed him consistently among LA’s most popular performers since the early 90’s. Multi-instrumentalist Jim Wooten fills the demanding role of John Paul Jones masterfully; covering Bass, Keyboards, Mandolin, Acoustic 6 & 12 string guitars, and backing vocals. Talent apparently runs in the family, as Jim’s uncle is none other than legendary guitarist, Les Paul! Steve Zukowsky first picked up the guitar at age 11, inspired by the great rock guitarists of the 70’s, such as Jimmy Page, Brian May, Peter Frampton, Pat Travers and Michael Schenker. With his amazing feel for the late, great, John “Bonzo” Bonham, drummer Jim Kersey leaves audiences shouting for more, especially after every performance of Zeppelin’s classic drum solo epic, “Moby Dick!”
Led Zepagain’s debut CD and recently released 2nd CD have sold impressive numbers at shows, online, and especially through download sites such as Apple’s I-Tunes and Sony Connect, scoring over 100,000 downloads worldwide, and taking over the #1 spot and nearly the entire top 10 of all Led Zeppelin covers on iTunes!
