Two winters back in a barn in Pennsylvania, Steve Kimock sat down with a passel of acoustic guitars and an engineer and let his fingers do the walking, creating beautiful sounds from scratch.
It was pure creativity at its finest. He tacked on some electronica and ambient sound, and the end result was Last Danger of Frost, which critics and fans alike have raved about. He then selected a band (KIMOCK) that would do the music justice — Steve Kimock, guitars; John Morgan Kimock, percussion; Bobby Vega, bass; Leslie Mendelson, keyboards/guitars/vocals – and with even newer songs written with John Morgan and Leslie, began to tour.
The results are simply too rich, too satisfying, to stop. This music just keeps growing. With Dave Schools producing, the band recently spent four days at TRI studios laying down the newest material, and now they return to the road.
