The annual student-sponsored community event celebrates the fall harvest and this year's festival will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of PCC. Visitors to Rock Creek (17705 N.W. Springville Road) will find a 12-foot high anniversary ¬Å“cake¬Â covered with 800 cupcakes free for the taking.
The Theatre Arts Program will present ¬Å“The Princess and the Pea,¬Â and the Fanno Creek Boys will fill the air with Blue Grass music. The original play takes families on a journey to a land where princesses come in all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of dreams. Princess Joan dreams of leading an army while Princess Ida wants to take her comedy act on the road.
The Washington County Museum, located on the campus, will offer free admission from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can explore a special ¬Å“School Days¬Â display to learn about the classroom life experienced by pioneers and children will make an old-fashioned toy to take home. Members of the Westside Quilters Guild will provide quilting opportunities for both children and adults.
The hayrides that loop the campus will run all day and will be staged between Building 2 and 5. Garden events will take place in the Learning Garden and all other activities will take place in Building 3 in the inside mall and in the courtyard.
