2016 Summer Concert Series in Vancouver
Summers in Vancouver are like no other! Each concert is free, family friendly and a wonderful opportunity to hear some of the Pacific Northwest’s most talented artists, enjoy food from local vendors, and take advantage of everything downtown Vancouver has to offer.

Thursday, July 7: NU SHOOZ
NU Shooz played their first gig on June, 21 1979 at Col. Summers Park, Portland Oregon. In 1986 their single “I Can’t Wait” reaches #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second single “Point of No Return” reaches #28. The album Poolside was certified Gold by the RIAA.
Thursday, July 14: Petty Fever
Named Tribute Band of the Year two years in a row, Petty Fever provides a stunning salute to Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, performing over three decades of hits such as American Girl, Free Falling, Breakdown, Running Down a Dream, I Won’t Back Down and many more.
Thursday, July 21: Dancehall Days
With performances in 2015 at San Francisco Ritz Carlton, Nassau Bahamas and Sun Valley Resort the word is out, Dancehall Days is a powerhouse. Performing a wide range of both classic and modern hits, they offer a high-energy experience.
Thursday, July 28: Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
This year The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra celebrates thirty-seven years of providing symphonic music to the community. Its success is due to the talent and commitment of the early conductors and musicians who provided its foundation. Music Director and Conductor Salvador Brotons is in his 25th season with The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
Thursday, August 4: Patrick Lamb
Patrick Lamb regularly tours the the world or performs as the ‘saxophonist to the stars’ with with Grammy winners and luminaries like Gino Vannelli, Bobby Caldwell, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Tommy Thayer, Diane Schuur, Bobby Kimball, Alice Cooper, and Smokey Robinson, showing that Patrick is comfortable wherever music may take him.
Thursday, August 11: Stone In Love
Stone in Love performs faithful renditions of classic hits from one of the most beloved rock groups of all time… Journey. Their high energy performance showcases all the hallmarks of the Journey sound – soaring lead vocals, lush four-part harmonies, signature guitar licks, fat keyboards, and driving rhythms.

Wednesday, July 6: Vancouver Pops Orchestra
Founded in 1970 right here in Vancouver, Washington, this orchestra has been a favorite at past concerts. Their mission is to inspire, motivate, and educate in a positive and encouraging environment.
Wednesday, July 13: The Pearls
A Country-Rock, Americana, and Western Swing band that hails from Vancouver, Washington. The Pearls count The Band, The Eagles, George Jones, The Grateful Dead and The Everly Brothers, in addition to old Dixieland jazz among their musical influences. They are currently producing their first studio-length self-titled album.
Wednesday, July 20: Lincoln’s Beard
Since 2006, Lincoln’s Beard has been writing, recording, and playing their original tunes far and wide throughout the Pacific Northwest. Currently a 4 piece band, consisting of acoustic guitar, electric guitar/lap steel, electric bass/banjo, and drums, their high energy shows keep your feet tapping and moving.
Wednesday, July 27: Castletown
Portland, Oregon-based Castletown blends the heart and soul of traditional Irish reels with modern folk, blues, jazz and country influences. Their new album In Reel Time was released in early 2016.
Wednesday, August 3: Three Together
These three musicians first met at an Open Mic in Vancouver, Washington, in the spring of 1994. Soon after flutist Judy Koch and acoustic guitarist Don Mitchell formed a duo and began performing local gigs. In 1997 Portland fingerstyle guitarist, Doug Smith, graciously agreed to help them with their CD project Sorting it Out.
Wednesday, August 10: River Twain
Gus Reeves and Brad Wager make up the duo River Twain; a soulful amalgamation of roots, blues, folk and americana music collectively known as DUSTBOWL SOUL.
July 10 – July 31 on Sunday evenings. Enjoy these concerts at Columbia Tech Center at 1498 Southeast Tech Center Drive in SE Vancouver.

Sunday, July 17: Britnee Kellogg
Britnee Kellogg was three years old when she started singing, and she’s never stopped. Today, you’ll find Britnee opening for the likes of Chris Young, Lee Brice, Kip Moore, Jake Owen, Martina McBride and Kelli Pickler. You may have also seen her on Season 11 and Season 12 of American Idol. She has a large fan base, with a local and worldwide following.
Sunday, July 24: Curtis Salgado
With a career spanning forty years, award-winning soul, blues and R&B vocalist/harmonicist/songwriter Curtis Salgado is a one-of-a-kind talent. From co-fronting The Robert Cray Band to leading his own band (and recording nine solo albums) to helping transform John Belushi into “Joliet” Jake Blues to touring the country with Steve Miller and Santana, he is a true musical giant.
Sunday, July 31: Hit Machine
The band plays hits from all eras such as “Stayin’ Alive” (Bee Gees), “Kiss” (Prince), “Dynamite” (Taio Cruz) and “You Shook Me All Night Long” (AC/DC). Hit Machine has been a guest of many prominent events surrounding the Portland Metro area including headlining Hood to Coast 2010-2014 in Seaside, headlining the Fort Vancouver Fireworks 2010-2014 and playing many Trail Blazers playoff games.
