The 16th Annual Alberta Street Fair will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2013, offering an eclectic mix of entertainment that could only be found on Alberta.
The 16th Annual Alberta Street Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Showcasing the best of the Alberta Street community, the free event features live music, unique craft vendors, food and drink, family fun and entertainment for people of all ages.
Featuring 21 acts on three separate stages, the 2013 Alberta Street Fair will have music for everyone, from blues, country, and rock, to folk, bluegrass, and kid’s acts. Highlights include Mark Pickerel of Bloodshot Records and Hollow Wood from Boise, ID, as well as up and coming artists Country Lips, Ravenna Woods, Sama Dams, Renegade String Band and the Catherine Feeney Band.
Additional events and offerings at the Alberta Street Fair include:
- Unique products and crafts from Alberta’s local businesses and 300 vendors lining NE Alberta Street between NE 10th Ave. and NE 30th Ave. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Food and beverages from Alberta’s eateries, food carts and Street Fair vendors.
- Music and dancing at three stages located at NE 11th Ave., 21st Ave. and 29th Ave. Check out www.albertamainst.org for the full lineup.
- Samples of 14 local brews at the Radio Room beer garden at NE 11th Ave from 12-9:30 p.m.
The fair will kick off with the Third Annual Children’s Parade, starting at 11 a.m. at NE 15th Ave. Children are invited to show up at 10:30 a.m. at the Alberta Co-op parking lot at NE 15th Ave. costumed and ready to march. PDX Kids Calendar will be hosting the Children’s Corner at NE 18th Ave. all day, providing crafts and entertainment for children of all ages.
Hosted by Alberta Main Street, the free community event is one of Portland’s most loved neighborhood street festivals, typically drawing more than 20,000 people. A suggested $2 donation supports building a vibrant and healthy Alberta Street district. Donations are accepted at the info booth (1722 NE Alberta Street) and the beer garden. Please consider walking, biking or taking public transportation to The Alberta Street Fair. Extra bike parking lots will be provided.
