From whispered love letters to rock concert catharsis, Hand2Mouth’s new ensemble performance Something's Got Ahold Of My Heart wrestles with our desire to craft the perfect declaration of love. SGA is created by Hand2Mouth’s ensemble (Matthew Dieckman, Julie Hammond, Liz Hayden, Faith Helma, Erin Leddy, Maesie Speer, Jerry Tischleder), directed by Jonathan Walters, and features choreography by Allie Hankins, dramaturgy by Alex Huebsch and Jessie Drake, original music by Hand2Mouth and Ash Black Bufflo, and design by Christopher Kuhl, Bobby Brewer-Wallin, and Efren Delgadillo Jr.

Something's Got Ahold Of My Heart will be in development throughout 2012 with multiple public intersections along the way. Throughout March and April, Hand2Mouth will be in residency at Disjecta as part of Portland2012: A Biennial of Contemporary Art, a major survey of work by visual artists who are defining and advancing the contemporary arts landscape. Join Hand2Mouth for work-in-progress showings of SGA during the biennial, as well as an installation open during gallery hours. Post show parties will be held both evenings and give audiences a chance to mingle and enjoy Disjecta's inspiring biennial installations.
