Celebrate Father’s Day in a new way this year; spend quality time with family and friends aboard the Portland Spirit, Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler or Explorer jet boat. With many cruises to choose from, you are sure to find the right way to spend the day with Dad. Our Father’s Day Brunch cruises feature an elaborate buffet with breathtaking views, and Captain’s narration along the way. Evening dinner cruises are complete with a plated meal and dazzling sights as the sun sets.

Looking for something a little different, sure to impress the dad who has everything? Come on board the the “Heart of the Gorge” day trip or Portland Bridge Cruise aboard the Explorer jet boat.

The “Heart of the Gorge” exploration cruise is a fully narrated tour, 120-mile round trip on the Columbia River aboard the Explorer to/from Cascade Locks in the Heart of the Gorge. Experience the scenery as we transition from city skylines of Portland to stunning vistas in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic area. View sights from the river including Vista House and Crown Point, Cape Horn, Multnomah Falls, Beacon Rock and transit through Bonneville Locks. The stop in Cascade Locks allows you to tour Marine Park Visitor’s Center and purchase lunch at the Locks Waterfront Grill.

For the more adventuresome; bring your bike on board the Explorer’s Heart of the Gorge Cruise one-way, then ride along 45 miles of the Columbia Gorge Historic Highway. Space for bikes is limited to 6 per trip.

OR, give dad an historic tour of the Willamette River aboard the Portland Bridge Cruise from St. John’s Bridge to the Sellwood Bridge, while enjoying the colorful history of Portland’s Landmark crossings. Get a close look at the nearly completed “Tilikum Crossing” – Portland’s newest Bridge of the People.

Vessel and Company Information:

The Portland Spirit is a 150′ yacht with three public decks, two of which are enclosed and climate controlled. We have seating for 340 guests on the two interior decks for a plated meal cruise and capacity for 450 guests for a reception. The Portland Spirit features delicious Northwest cuisine prepared to order in our on-board galley, several full service bars with a vast wine selection, grand pianos with live performers (don’t forget our singing wait staff), a ship-wide sound system, and a marble dance floor.

The Sternwheeler is an authentic 499-passenger Sternwheeler reminiscent of the ships that cruised the Columbia Gorge in the 1800’s. The Sternwheeler is a replica of the historic Bailey Gatzert, which operated on the Columbia from the 1890’s to the 1920’s. The Sternwheeler provides passengers with panoramic views and fresh northwest cuisine, prepared fresh in its onboard galley.

The vessels and crew of Portland Spirit Cruises & Events form the premier fleet of dinner ships in the Northwest. They offer public lunch, brunch, dinner and sightseeing cruises as well as specialty cruises throughout the year. There are 5 boats in the fleet including the Portland Spirit, Willamette Star, Crystal Dolphin, Explorer Boat and Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler (located of Cascade Locks, OR). Portland Spirit also operates three land venues; the Terrace on Thunder Island and Gorge Pavilion in Cascade Locks, along with the Locks Waterfront Grill.
